I dropped my MacBook and now the display is warped

So a couple of weeks ago I was laying in my bed with my macbook until I turned to the side and it slipped out and fell onto the floor. The black gum that surrounds the macbook display came out a bit whenever the macbook closed so I just cut it off, because it was making a squeaking noise. Now when opening the macbook, I can hear it grind to the chassis and there is visible damage to the chassis, right above the keyboard. This was probably my most expensive mistake that I will regret for the rest of my life. Especially as a teen. How much would it cost me to fix this? I live in Lithuania, so there is no AppleCare+.

Boy! That sucks!

You’ll need to find a local tech who can carefully reshape the case and/or replace the damaged parts. The lid is part of the display assembly and not really replaceable on its own.

For now I would not twist the lid or close it until it’s looked at as you could make things worse.
