AOC 24G2SP Monitor Colored horizontal lines across the screen

It was just a hairline and now it is getting progressively worse.

What is the cause for this?

I have already contacted AOC support for RMA this monitor has not gone through a year yet.

Hi @glenedannl20817

Horizontal lines are mostly caused by failed gate drivers in the LCD panel.

You could check the ribbon cable connection that connect to the boards from the screen. As these cables are bonded to the screen sometimes they lift off so you could try apply a bit of pressure to the ribbon cable where the lines are to see if it changes or not.

If the line doesn't change then it is a problem in the panel itself.

As the monitor is still under warranty, I suggest that you do not open it to find out as this will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Hello,

Same problem here but with a MSI G271 monitor. Mine is not in warranty so, how could I fix it?

Thank you
