While there's no guarantee, generally a failed backlight can be fixed by replacing the screen. On your phone it's not difficult, but does require soldering so that's something you need to know how to do or know someone who does. Here's a video showing you how to do that replacement.
The screen itself, assuming you can order one in your location, is extremely inexpensive from what I saw. Here's one that came up on a cursory search; a more extensive search may come up with more options for you in terms of price or availability.

On other models of phones there are sometimes fuses that can blow, causing the backlight to fail, but fixing those issues generally require extensive knowledge of the phone, including wiring diagrams of the motherboard. I would definitely start with replacing the display then reevaluate whether that fixed the problem.
