Charging port clogged with debris, possible bent pins

Picked this up for cheap second hand as it had issues with charging, after looking at it there seems to be some sort of thick debris in the charging port which I think may be the root of the issue, a lightning connector doesn’t go all the way in, it doesn’t “click” like it would with a clean phone, after looking closer I’m thinking there may also be bent pins and this May be a full Charing port replacement.

If it’s just debris should a tooth pick / Compressed air do the trick?

The phone powers on and work perfectly, and can charge through wireless charging, it’s just the lighting port that is the issue

I will attach images of the port as I’m not 100% sure if they are bent or not

any help is appreciated :)

I'd power the phone off and pick away at the debris with a small needle or a thin piece of plastic. Over time, dust seems to have been compacted at the bottom of the lightning port, preventing the charger from going deeper into it and clicking/latching on properly. You could also carefully drip some high-purity isopropanol into the port to help unstick the compressed residues.

There seems to be a good chance of it working well after that, and a charging port replacement seems to be unnecessary.
