Dropped camera - not powering on

I dropped the camera without protection on stone floor. A small crack has formed in the plastic on the left side of the camera seen from the screen, and some parts look a little bit skewed but not much. The power isn’t turning on and when I try to charge it, no light is glowing. All mechanical components are operational and the battery looks intact. Any idea what the problem might be and if it is fixable?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@jacobvedholm this "small crack has formed in the plastic on the left side of the camera seen from the screen, and some parts look a little bit skewed but not much." we would have to seethe damage to evaluate it. If you have no power at all it is possible that you have a couple of torn/loose ribbon cables or worst case scenario; a damaged board. If it comes on but turns off it could be the lens. A lens that does not retract or extended will get the camera to turn off.
Adding images to an existing question TO work on your camera you can download the SM from the Documents part on this page Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 level 2 is the disassembly etc. and Level 3 are the schematics etc. Let us know and see what you find out
