Moving parts inside the base

I recently bought a refurbished MacBook Pro 2021, and when I turn it over, it sounds like something heavy falls inside the device. The same thing happens when it's turned the right way up again. Since I got it refurbished, I don't have a warranty, so what's the best thing for me to do here? Thanks!

I would take the bottom cover off to see if what’s loose spills out, then take a picture and post it here so we can see it to hopefully identify what it is.

I've had a look, turn out the battery wasn't secured with enough adhesive so it's a little loose in the casing - is that likely to cause an issue?

Thanks!

@danhill38556 - A loose battery cell would be a thump sound.

by

@danj Yep, that's the sound it makes - with the cover off it visibly moves away from the housing. (Specifically the cells on either side)

@danhill38556 - If this is the same system from your other question I would just return it.

by

@danj It is, I think I may have to, this seems like it's not worth trying to deal with myself. Thanks for your quick responses, I really appreciate the help.
