How to clean dpf
Clean dpf for passat 1.6 d
Is this a good question?
Go for a drive on a highway where you can constantly drive at >60kph for at least 30 minutes without stopping.
Try to keep the engine running at 2500-3000 rpm whilst doing this.
This will help to burn off the accumulated soot etc in the dpf, regenerating it.
If you do a lot of short trips you may want to do this at least once a month, to make sure that the filter will last a long time, as replacing dpf filters can be expensive.
