spilled water on keyboard at startup screen would turn on then off

Water was spilled on the keyboard and upon drying out the keyboard and screen would turn on and at the password prompt the screen goes black. After I hit any random keys on the keyboard the screen goes blue and the screen will come back on for about 5 seconds and go black. I turn the screen on at anytime by using random keys on the keyboard and logon to the computer for 5 seconds then it goes glack. For some reason the command key always will turn the screen on. After the damage I cleaned the board and reinstalled it. The first time I turned the notebook on after that I was able to log on and play itunes for about 5 minutes. I thought I fixed it. I turned it off and now it is doing the same thing. The green power cord light is strong and the battery holds a charge. It appears the computer is working in the back ground but the screen is timing out. Please help.

Either you have a damaged in line P link fuse or the WLED driver has blown. You need some skills to test those. The WLED driver chip is very difficult to test I would not recommend trying to test that unless you have expertise you can short the board. Soldering that chip is a QFN chip and is very hard to do also. It may be one or the other. Sorry if this is'nt much help but this is a very difficult repair. Your best bet would be to sell the board for what its worth and buy a new one or have a repair shop that does component level repair to fix it.

I don't know how it can be the P link fuse or the WLED driver when when after numerous tries of trying to get into the operating system I am able to get the computer to turn on for an indefinite period of time unless I turn it off. Any new ideas?
