@himanshuydv TRy this first:

Change the settings below to see if this will resolve the issue.

  1. Go to "Device Manager"
  2. Expand "Sound, Video and Game controllers"
  3. Right click "RealtekAudio" and click "Update driver"
  4. Click "Browse my computer for driver software"
  5. Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
  6. Select "High Definition Audio Device" and then "Next" to complete from here

Next connect your headphone and let us know if you have clear audio or the same crackles etc. If it sounds good then the issue will be more likely with your speakers (yes, it could be the audio amp circuitry, but most likely are the speakers.

Here is the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Service Manual Page 43 shows how to replace the speakers.speakers are still around. Lots of used ones on ebay as well as on here example only, not an endorsement

While you work on your computer, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.

If the laptop is actually equipped with speakers and not drivers, they can be repaired but it would most certainly be easier and cheaper if you replaced them completely. Try not to play content too loud!

@dj_eme,

Drivers is the term used for the software in the computer, that is used to run the hardware controllers, in this case audio controllers, that convert the digital audio information in whatever program is being used to play the audio into electrical signals that actually operate the speaker so that audio can be heard.

If the drivers are corrupted the speakers won't work either, so you need to check both.
