Why is my 2ds screen flickering alot?

So, as of maybe 3 or 4 months ago, I noticed a sort of weird problem concerning me about my 2ds system. For whatever reason, while its on at all (a game, the home screen, whatever) its flickering frequently between the normal screen, and a totally black one. And the weird part is that I have noticed playing with the sleep switch at the bottom of the DS actually will temporarily stop the flickering screen though? But it eventually returns soon anyway. Makes me wonder if its something with the sleep functionality maybe? Idk.

I just hope my DS isnt planning on dying completely or something, because with the eshop being gone now, theres stuff on there i cant just get back if i had to replace the 2ds :(

Answer this question I have this problem too

Screen flickering on a Nintendo 2DS could be due to loose connections, a faulty display, or other hardware issues. Try restarting the device, updating firmware, or checking for loose connections. If the problem persists, consider contacting Nintendo support or seeking professional repair services. DIY fixes might not be advisable without proper expertise.
