SD card slot not working.

I've been using my wii since 2013 and remember the SD card slot would work when I would put my SD card from my 3DS in the wii and would look at the photos on the photo channel. But recently since 2022 the SD card slot wouldn't work. It sees that there is an SD card because the little icon on the home menu lights up, but when I go to the photo channel (or homebrew channel) the things on the SD card don't read. I've tried this with multiple SD cards off amazon (most of them being 32GB and formatted to FAT32) and none of them work. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue?

I'm wondering if your Wii has the latest system update. When was the last time you updated your Wii?

You could try to clean the SD card slot by putting isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on a SD card and then putting it in the SD card slot, taking the SD card out, and repeating the process for 3-5 minutes. (With the Wii off.) The IPA will not harm the electronics as it is very fast drying. Hope this helps!!
