Gameboy screen stuck on case

So I opened up my GameBoy and when removing the board with the screen I pried it loose with the plastic tool I bought.

However, unlike any tutorial, the screen remains stuck to the casing instead of coming out together with the board? I re-inserted the screen ribbon and device powered on perfectly, then I removed the batteries and tried again to get the screen out. After the second try failed as well I tried turning the device on but nothing is happening? Please help

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@ezekiel9898 unless you are the original owner and know what repairs have been done on this, it could be tricky. There is always a chance that somebody got wild with same crazy glue or similar. Get some high grade isopropyl alcohol 95%+ and a syringe. Then inject some of the alcohol between the case and the frame of the display. See if that softens things up. Bottom line here is that you may potentially lose the display since it may crack.

Post some pictures of what this all looks like so we may come up with more "ideas" on how to help you with that. Adding images to an existing question
