Leaking light after screen replacement?

Sorry for the long paragraphs but I need serious help!

Ok, so I was replacing my digitizer and LCD screen for the phone when I noticed that after I reassembled it that light was leaking through the left, right and bottom sides.

I then noticed the old LCD screen and saw that there was this thin black clear sheet that was probably used for light leakage, fortunately for me that the old LCD screen had a full sheet on its back, so I took it and cut it up and used it as a replacement. It sort of worked but I'm still having light leaking through the sides. I'm thinking about double layering it if I have enough black clear sheets which I don't. Any alternatives?

Anyways my real problem is, I can't figure out how to stop the light from leaking from the bottom of the digitizer. I can't do the same thing for the sides, what should I do?

The other thing is the LED lights that light up the touch buttons aren't lighting them up? The lights are working but it seems like its not reaching the button so it can light up as if the lights are too far down? Anyone know what the problem can be?
