iPhone 12 Black Screen/LCD

Hi,

I recently had an iPhone 12 brought to me with no LCD Image, but it will vibrate with notifications and is taking a healthy 3.74V.

The LCD FPC is not damaged and is clean. I also checked under the Thermal Imaging Camera; no chips are flagging. I've not seen this issue before and any help is appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @betterrepairuk
Have you tried seeing if the display/display wires are disconnected/defective? Open up the iphone (Be careful!)
If the problem is defective, replace them. but if they are disconnected then reconnect them

Screens brand new and FPC's fine and brackets keeping them down so don't think the flex cables are the issue

Hi @betterrepairuk

Since you verified the problem is not the cables nor the screen it may be the motherboard or power supply

@ihave0idea Tested the logic board under Thermal camera seems to be ok and the battery is new.I might try the FES see if that’s the issue

Check connections, detach and reattach the display flat. If that doesn't work, try a different screen.
