New battery still only works with power AC plugged

I have the same problem with my HP..

It was working all fine untill one day the battery just drained from 30 to zero and went off.

Since then, it only works with power AC plugged. It refuses to work with the battery on. Could this be a motherboard power issue???

I have replaced the battery, but same problem.

I've used a friend's charger, but same problem.

What is the model number of the laptop?

Does the laptop indicate that the battery is charging when the charger is connected to the laptop?

With the laptop turned on using the charger (and with the battery inserted) create a battery report to check the status of the battery.

When you have the report, compare the Design Capacity value versus the Full Charge Capacity value. This will hopefully allow you to see if it is a charging problem or an operating problem.
