My phone (S21) id requesting a password to unlock, and I don't have it. The one I wrote down is incorrect and every time I try a different P/W it says too many attempts and locks me out for hours. Any ideas?

If you have a data backup then one option would be to force a factory reset on the phone and the just restore everything from the backup.
Automatic backups need to be manually turned on so if you are unsure or don't know whether you've turned it on or not then I do not suggest you do a factory reset since it will wipe all data on your device.
Your backups should be accessible from Samsung Cloud or your Google Account.

Hopefully they know the Google (or Samsung) account user ID and password, as they need it to access the phone to set it up after the reset due to the FRP lock that has been enabled by the factory reset.

If so can you access the account OK online from another device?
