MacBook Pro 2017 shuts off when power cord plugged in

Hi,

I recently replaced my MacBook Pro battery. New battery is fine. Charges fully, works good. The only issue I’m finding is that when I want to recharge may MacBook when I plug in the charge to charge it after about 3 mins or so the MacBook will just shut down. It’ll get charged when it’s off. I just can’t use my laptop when it’s plugged into the charger… I changed power adapters the same thing happens. Changed cords, etc… Any idea what could be the issue?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Are you using a USB-C hub or have other devices connected besides the power brick?

@blahhh007 - Sadly this sounds like a logic board issue. Could you have knocked a component off or created a short in some way?

Don’t think so. The only thing I can think of is the part that clips on, keeps the battery closed doesn’t close the way. The thing that clips down. Could that be it?

@blahhh007 - That the battery board data cable that could be the issue!

post some pics so we can clearly see what you have here.

The cable is fine. I’m referring to the flap. The locking flap.
