Fixing weird issue with left joystick

Hello, so i have recently received a Xbox series s controller that is in good physical shape but has a problem. the left joystick works well left and right, but up/down leaves it "confused". It gets stuck on some value, and springs back when I gently nudge it. I have some spare joystick modules from fixing my switch pro controller that I plan on selling, and I wonder if I can use these parts to repair the Xbox controller, or should I upgrade to hall effect, if so, which should I get, I am in Moldova, so it is pretty difficult to ship things here, so AliExpress is pretty much my only option. Can you please give me some advice?
