Computer does not identify photos on iPod nano

Hello! I have some photos on my iPod Nano that I would like to download to my 2021 MacBook. When I plug it into my computer, however, the 203 songs that are on the iPod Nano appear in the Finder window of my MacBook, but it doesn't detect the 513 photos that are stored on it anywhere. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? Is this an issue that could be solved with software or physical fixing?

Answer this question I have this problem too

You will need to access the photo’s from within iTunes iPod connection services.

Thank you for your response! Could you please clarify what "iTunes iPod connection services" are? I have never heard of that before and would like to give it a try if possible.

@kevin26735 - Here’s how Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

Then once copied to your Mac you can then access the pictures from it.

Ah okay, I see what you mean. Doesn’t syncing the device delete everything on the Nano and copy everything possible from the computer onto it though? I’m scared if that’s the case because I really don’t want to lose the photos on my Nano. If that’s not the case, then I will give it a try.

@kevin26735 - You Don’t need to sync, within iTunes, you can just snag the photos.
