As I've said previously, there is a kit available that's probably your best bet short of buying professional equipment such as a vacuum table, wire guides, a vacuum chamber and a UV light chamber.

Given the price of the newer model Pixel OLED screens, it might be worth a try, but the general consensus is even if you are successful, the results probably won't look like a new screen. Here's the last Pixel glass discussion we had.

That being said, here's the kit I was referring to.

I have actually tried this kit myself on a Samsung OLED screen but unfortunately was not successful in getting the glass separated from the OLED. I probably could have, but in the process of getting the initial separation I damaged a small part of the OLED. Subsequently it did start to separate and I'm sure I would have been able to get it apart, but with the damage I decided not to proceed. It was the same sort of consideration, where a replacement screen for the Samsung was expensive and the front glass kit cheap enough that I felt it was worth a try.

Ultimately it's your decision. If you want a guarantee of a screen that looks like new, you're going to have to buy the full screen, but if you're willing to settle for something that may not look as professional and understand that your chances of success aren't great, then you can certainly consider trying a front glass replacement.

Good luck and let us know if you succeed! We love to hear success stories, but can usually learn something even when things don't go right.
