How to connect the iMac speaker to another device to test?

Guys, I'm repairing the iMac's speaker, the edge disintegrated, so I decided to fix it, but I need to connect it to another device to test, I've already tried connecting it to the headphone output on the iPad and MacBook, it doesn't work.
