Repair information and disassembly guides for Sony PlayStation controllers.

Grandson has a PS5 and 2 controllers.

One controller won't charge, the other one has a problem with the big button in the middle (touch pad?). I can repair both items using your instructions, but can't seem to find the items on your website. It keeps referring me to PS4 parts. Little help here?

Sony doesn't sell controller parts. You need to pull them off of broken controllers or buy aftermarket compatible parts. I had to do that to a DS4 I bashed in rage and broke the shell since Sony will not just sell parts like the shell for controllers.

Your best bet is to take both and make 1 good controller and then buy another one, but keep whatever is left. I would probably take the one that charges but has the bad trackpad and pull the trackpad off of the no charge controller.

I agree with your 2 for 1 idea. I was just thinking that IFIXIT would carry parts for the 5, as they do for the 4. Not caught up yet I guess. Best bet for aftermarket parts? Thanks! Frank.

@frankhenry eBay or Amazon, but they do not sell aftermarket electronics; just things like the shells. That's why I usually recommend saving them when they die so you can pull parts off as needed.
