Sonos Play:5 (Gen 2) was introduced in late 2015 and discontinued in early 2020 with the launch of it's successor, the Sonos Five. The Play:5 (get 2) and Five are identical except for improved cosmetics and newer processing hardware with more ram. The speaker drivers, amplifiers, and DSP are the same.

My Sonos Play5 stopped working.

My Sonos Play 5 stopped working. There was no impact or other external physical incident that could be responsible for its sudden demise. The little white light on the top does not come on when plugged in - it is just dead!! It is possible to repair a Play 5? I live in Vancouver, Canada - does anyone know of a electronics repair place that could help solve this mystery?

Answer this question I have this problem too

It is more than lightly that there has been a voltage spike and that the T 3.15A fuse mounted directly on the PCB near the power socket has blown. You need soldering experience and a good idea of what you are doing to dismantle the unit to test that this is the case. There is is sometimes a varistor blown too and it is a good idea to at least check - if not replace - the bridge rectifier and two adjacent 100mf 400v capacitors too. Hope some of that helps.
