Not charging, anyway to charge the battery with a external charger?

Hi, so my MBA intel 2020 isn't charging anymore. It was working fine when plugged in but we recently had a power outage and the battery dropped to 0 percent. Not it's super slow when plugged in. I tried several power adapters so that's not it. 2 questions. What's wrong with my macbook?

Also is there anyway to charge the battery externally? If I can get a little charge on it my macbook should work again when plugged in. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Reset the SMC.

Before trying anything else, the SMC controls the power system on a Mac, and you may need to reset it. If your SMC is faulty, your Mac will experience power issues. I also would suggest running Apple Diagnostics. This way you could see where your Mac is having problems.

As far as charging the battery externally, I don't believe that is possible. That is, I have never heard of anyone doing that. If your Mac is slow, this is because it is trying to lower the processes in order to send power to the battery. Instead of running solely on the power adapter, it is trying to still use battery power.

If possible, try to download the Coconut Battery app. There it will tell you if your battery is having problems.

Worst case, the battery may be faulty, and you will need to replace it.
