SOS beep after update crash.

I was reinstalling the OS on this computer via USB. The computer shut off mid install and it now does the SOS beep when I turn it on (three short beeps, three long then three short). From what I know is the firmware got corrupted. I haven't been able to find anything useful online on how to fix it, as everyone just tells me to go to the Apple Store to get help. Posting here just in case anyone here knows anything.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Here’s the run down on the Beep codes If your Mac beeps during startup

So there beeps you are hearing is more likely a RAM error. This could be as simple as reseating or cleaning the contacts with a few wipes with a fresh pink pencil eraser and isopropyl alcohol. Or the clips aren’t holding the SIMM and lastly the frame is warped from heat.

If the Firmware is corrupted that’s not an easy fix, you could try taking out the PRAM battery, with the system unplugged press and hold the power button for a good 15 secs. Put the battery back in and try restarting.

Going to the Apple Store won’t help as this too old a system they won’t touch it.
