GPU seems to be faulty

In daily use including with an external screen the machine works.

As soon as you try to run an game that puts pressure on the GPU or a benchmark FURMark the game or the benchmark starts, but then the entire machine freezes up.

We've tried every combination of drivers and resets we can think of. Does this sound like a hardware fault?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @brianoflondon,

Did the game play OK before?

If it is a new game does the laptop meet the minimum system requirements of the game?

Have you tried testing the memory either with the Windows memory diagnostic tool or perhaps a standalone memory test to make sure it is all OK?

Gaming stresses all the hardware not just the GPU.
