@jeffreymbarnes you are not telling us where you smell it the most. Park your Hyundai on a dry flat area. Or place a large piece of cardboard and park your vehicle on it. Let it sit for a couple of hours and then check for any damp spots on the cardboard. That way, you know at least the general area. It could be the Tank, the fuel lines or any connector in between.

Thank you I will try the cardboard good idea but so far never saw any leaks when I parked the car.

@jeffreymbarnes If it does not have a leak check the gas cap and the evap container/system (purge control valve) since this can also release the gas fumes.

The entire bottom of tank was rusted out found good mechanic $70/hour took 4 hours to replace tank and add new fuel pump.
