How can I fix my black screen on my Canon ZR60

My Canon ZR60 has a black screen and I heard that it might have something to do with the CCD but I have no idea how to fix it. The camera also records audio just fine its just there's no picture playing when I press record.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @cvez1079

Can you view your recordings when you connect the camcorder to a TV?

If you can see your recording on the TV then it may be just a problem with the LCD screen in the camera.

When trying to view a recording in the LCD screen (I realize that you can't see anything on the screen) try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the LCD screen and check if you can see any images on the screen.

If you can see images then it is a LCD screen backlight problem or a screen backlight power supply problem from the motherboard.

If you can't see images then it might be a LCD screen and backlight or motherboard problem.

Since you can see images OK on the TV then more likely it is a LCD screen problem.

If you can't see your recording on the TV then most likely it is a lens or motherboard problem.

Here's the service manual that will help.

It has the disassembly procedure (for the LCD unit see p.5-14), the parts list and schematic diagrams as well.

A quick search online for the LCD unit showed no results for suppliers. You may have better luck.

Hopefully this is of some help.
