Phone not updating after battery replacement iPhone 13 Pro

I've replaced my iPhone 13 Pro battery using the excellent iFixit battery and guide. All went well and phone back functioning, however, it now won't update to either 16.7.2 or 17.1 after the battery replacement. It is stuck on 16.2 with an 'unable to verify update' warning each time I try to update. To compound the problem I borrowed a device whilst mine was out of action, that device is now on 17.1 with all my recent photos/data etc and I can't transfer back to my 13 pro via iCloud, or transfer iPhone to iPhone because it is stuck on iOS 16 and stalls when it gets to the update iOS part of the transfer. Any advice on what I can do?

This is a known issue with non original batteries. Update via iTunes or Finder on a PC or Mac.

Hi Thanks- yes in the end I did exactly that, it seems it was more to do with the fact that the iPhone I used in the interim had updated higher than the one I replaced the battery on- so doing an iOS update during the data transfer part constantly failed, until I set the fixed iPhone up without back up and updated it as a new device.
