Upgraded to High Sierra, but my Mac is not accepting any charge.

I just recently updated my MacBook, but just recently it stopped accepting charge from my MagSafe. Not quite sure what the problem is, because I know this charger works. Although the problem could be that it is not a genuine charger from apple, but it powers the Mac. It says the power source is from the power adapter, but it is not accepting charge. If I can't fully fix this mac, I'm probably gonna go with an iMac..

@thequacker no, it does not.

@d1ss download and install CoconutBattery. Take a screenshot of what it shows you. Post that with your Question. That way we can see what you see and try and figure out what is going on with your charger/battery. Adding images to an existing question

@d1ss More than likely the power adapter itself died. You really should use an OEM adapter because I have heard too many stories of them burning MagSafe boards or even completely frying the motherboard. If you don’t want to buy it from Apple (especially since you could buy a whole used Mac for the price) you could look for used on eBay. Just make sure it is a used Apple brand.

Alright, I probably think this will work, although I may just buy an old iMac, I've heard those are pretty good. Thanks for your advice!

There is a possibility that the battery is starting to die out. Possibly need a replacement

Since its 2010. Batteries tends to go flat after 5-10 years
