Fan not working even after replacing

Hi all (Dan),

I have a MacBook Pro 2015 13" which has a fan that won't run. I have...

Put a known good fan in

Replaced keyboard and trackpad cable

Replied thermal paste

New SSD

Fresh install

SMC and PRAM

I used 'mac fan controller' which worked, the fan was controllable up to full RPM and all of the RPMs in-between, but the Mac just won't control it. I assume a faulty LB?

@andyc7117 may be not a faulty logic board but a failed part in the fan circuitry. This could be related to an issue with either the Tach circuitry of the fan or the Fan Control circuitry. I would suggest that you start by checking the components and see what results you get.

Copy the image to your computer since there will be times where they may have to disappear ;-)

If nothing else, let's see your logic board. Maybe somebody on here can identify any issues with it. Adding images to an existing question

Thank you. It's started working again after (another) fresh OS install.
