Is there a way to fix/replace the L/R shoulders on the New 3DS XL?

My New 3DS XL recently developed a problem where the shoulder buttons (L & R) sometime wouldn't detect a press. Even while pressing down on it, sometime it would rapidly detect a press and release (making most game like Mario kart hard to play, if not impossible). I found some guides for something similar for the older model 3ds, and was wondering if I could do the same with the new one.

Hello, for me the problem comes from the fact that the button is dirty, I do not know what solution you found but if it is cleaned with alcohol at 90° or with electronic cleaning products I do not see why it would not work and it's what i recommand to do(the problem can comes from a button that begins to desolder, but it's very unlikely)

PS: the L/R buttons for the New 3ds XL are the same as the ds lite(and can maybe be the same for the original ds) so no problem to follow a tutorial on how to clean these buttons they are all the same
