Laptop will not charge with Lenovo supplied power adapter.

Laptop will not charge with Lenovo power adapter or any other USB-C power source I have tried. When plugged into power the light adjacent to the power port flashes (amber color) every 2-3 seconds. Laptop worked fine yesterday. I suspect a bad power port on the laptop. Is there any way to confirm this?

SOLVED: I opened the back and removed the battery. It still would not boot when plugged into the power adapter, I reconnected the battery, replaced the back and the problem was fixed. It's charging normally now.

The fix above did not last very long and it eventually stopped charging again. After some back and forth with Lenovo tech support it was decided that I needed a new motherboard. I sent it back to them and had it repaired. Now the laptop charges normally but I have a new problem. It is often reluctant to awake from sleep mode. I have disabled all sleep settings and continue to have this problem. But this is a topic for a new post...
