Repair and disassembly information for Google's Pixel 8 smartphone, released in October 2023. Identified by model numbers G9BQD, GA04851-US, GKWS6, GPJ41, and GZPFO.

Where exactly is the charging coil located?

I want to apply a Magsafe ring that I have, I am trying to figure out where exactly on the back of the Pixel 8 is the wireless charging coil. Any help in finding that coil would help.

Answer this question I have this problem too

On the dbrand website, their teardown skins have the coil pictured, it seems pretty close to the location of case manufacturers and I guess I trust their scanning practices

The X-ray diagram shows the coil slightly below the G logo, but I'd read before that a teardown showed it dead center under the G logo. So I'm confused on what to believe now. I have seen up to 3500mA charging with the case I bought though (with maybe a 1200mA average so far), which is dead center on the G logo, but I don't know how efficient or inefficient that is yet.

Hi @sumedhphadke

Here's a teardown video for the phone that may help.

The NFC and wireless charging coil location is shown at 8:01- 8:04 minutes into the video
