The iPod Seventh Generation, marketed and sold as the "iPod Classic", was released in September 2009, and did not have any visible differences compared to the previous version. It simply replaced the previous 120GB iPod Classic 6.5 with a thin 160GB version.

Computer does nothing when I plug in my iPod

When I charge my iPod it says to restore with iTunes, so I plug it in and then my iPod says do not disconnect. But when I look at iTunes or Windows File Explorer it does not show up. I have tried restarting my PC and I have tried different cables and ports but nothing seems to work.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This might point to a hard drive failure. Try putting the iPod into disk mode (first, reset the iPod pressing Menu + Center buttons for about 5sec until the screen goes black, immediately press Center button + Play) and try to restore the iPod this way.

If it still doesn't show up or restore, your hard drive might be failing.
