Your description is a little vague. It helps us to help you if you tell us what computer make and model you have and what operating system version? You say "My hard drive does not display" Where does it not display.

Having said that, generally go into the computer's BIOS ( often <Del>, <F2>, etc. - look it up) and see if the drive is recognised. If it is not it may be defective.

If you do see it then it is probably just corruption in the booting section. If you have Windows (you haven't told us) use your instalation disk flash drive to enter repairs

  1. Boot from the the installation media for the installed version of Windows.
  2. On the Install Windows screen, select Next > Repair your computer.
  3. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
  4. On the Advanced options screen, select Startup Repair.

Let us know how it goes and ask if you have any questions.

You could also take the drive out and use a SATA to USB adapter and connect it to another Windows computer and see if it can see the drive and any data on it.
