Windows won’t boot after enabling SVM

I am taking a coding class and was instructed to enable SVM in my BIOS settings. Now after enabling it, Windows won’t boot. It says “there was a problem starting your PC” and just continues in this loop forever. I went back in to troubleshooting and restored the BIOS settings back to what they were, but it still won’t boot. I tried opening the laptop up and taking out the CMOS battery for a minute then turning it on again but same issue.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Apparently this is a known issue. Great eh!

  • Just go into the BIOS/UEFI and set settings to Default by mouse click or pressing <F9> key. That should do it.
  • (this for other readers) This video is for the FX504 but the instructions are probably similar for the FX505.

  • Did you disconnect the charger and the main battery when you took out the CMOS battery and press the power button to discharge any residue electricity?
  • Some suggest reflashing the UEFI/BIOS.
  • I would also run a full virus/ malware scan to be safe.

Let know how it goes.
