My tablet was working fine but now it wont turn on

What i am trying to say is that, it will turn on but only to the charing display and it barley turns on when it is off the charger. After the charging display is shown it turns off it doesn't even vibrate and go to the screen where i can unlock my tablet. I tired doing the Power + Volume down trick I tired holding the power button for 10+ Mississippi.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I have the same MAXWEST tablet that the user above described. I tried all the suggestions given, but nothing works; it still won't turn on. I cannot afford a new tablet, (this one was one of those free government ones that I got a year ago).

Any other suggestions?

Hi @daatoxicc3

You didn't specify the model number of your tablet but to factory reset most MaxWest tablets you need to press the Power and Vol. Up buttons and not the Power + Vol. Down buttons.

Also be aware that if you do this and it works then all your personal data and downloaded apps on the tablet will have been erased, as the tablet will be reset back to its factory default condition.

If it doesn't work then it's a hardware problem. Maybe try replacing the battery and check if that works. What is the model number of the tablet?

With the charger connected use the method described in the link above to get to the recovery menu but select "Reboot system now" and NOT "wipe data/factory reset" and check if it starts OK.

If still no good you may have to do a factory reset to prove whether it is a software or a hardware problem.

If it does restart OK after a factory reset it was software. If it doesn't then it's a hardware problem.

FYI for future reference always regularly backup the tablet (or a phone) to the Google account's cloud storage you have associated with the device. That way if the tablet (or phone) fails for whatever reason your data is safe and accessible by accessing the account from any other working device., as long as you remember the account user name and password of course.

I tired the Power + Vol up It isn't working. It's not even turning on.

@daatoxicc3

Seems like a hardware problem so the tablet would have to be opened and checked to see what has happened.

It could be a faulty battery. Maybe try temporarily replacing that first
