F1 and F2 black screen on boot up

When I start my Dell Inspiron 580 with Windows 10, Black screen with F1 to continue to desktop and F2 to view system bios key choices is shown. How do I fix this. Other suggested fixes are not in my system bios options.

Probably, the cmos battery (button battery, CR2032), is low, and/or the system time is not set.

Once the time is set, the screen should not repeat on the next startup.

If it does, the battery is likely dead, and must be replaced to hold the time.

The battery is on the mainboard, and should be visible.

The CMOS battery fixed the beeping, which happened after my post, but the black F1 F2 screen still shows up when starting up. Also, I have a power center that switches off the power to my Dell after shut down. When I switch the power on, the Dell starts up. Before, I had to press the power button on the Dell after the power center switch was turned on.

You haven't given us much information. Do you get the Dell logo screen?

You have already mentioned the <F1> and <F2> keys.

When it starts up press <F12> key to get to Boot Options and select your hard drive.

If no drives appear then your hard drive may be defective. Did it show up when you went into the BIOS?
