Backlight will not light up after liquid damage. Everything else works

I have a A1342 unibody MacBook. Liquid got in the laptop through the back vent, as the liquid sensor by the display adapter is tripped. The board is clean, and no components look to be bad, but I have no backlight. Everything else functions properly, I can see an image with a light and an external display functions. The screen was also cracked so I replaced it hoping that would possibly fix the backlight problem, but it did not. I've tried a working lcd panel (to test the cable) and it still does not light up. Anyone know what fuses/capacitors/resistors etc to check or any other ideas on how it might be fixed?
