Wrong polarity to a Lenovo IdeaPad 310-15isk.

Hello there. I applied wrong polarity voltage at power connector and the laptop does not switch on. What damage done, what components to replace? Is a Lenovo IdeaPad 310-15isk. Maybe a schematic diagram with marked possible problems will help? Thank you.

Hi @naica

Here's the schematic for the motherboard.

Go to p.51 / 60 and follow the path from the jdcin1 connector (DC-In jack) through the PF1 fuse to the VIN circuit reference then find VIN ref. on p.53 / 60 and check PQ311, PQ312 and PU301 and all associated components connected to that path.

if the components aren't marked on the board, then you may have to find a boardview diagram for the motherboard. I couldn't find one. Only the schematics. You may have better luck.

Here's the maintenance and service guide for the laptop that will help to gain access to the motherboard.
