GPS wont power up with either AA’s or lithium pack

Gps wont power up whit AA’s or lithium pack but straits when charger is plugged in

Can this be fixed?

Are you comfortable disassembling, diagnosing and troubleshooting electronics? This may be as simple as a worn out or damaged power adapter in the unit that switches between charger and internal battery power. Using multimeter can help trace where power from the battery is lost or disconnected.
