Epson ET-2850 Part popped off during printer jam

Paper went thru crooked and printer jammed. Was able to pull the paper out easily. But jam error did not clear.

So I opened up the top of the printer, and this part was laying loose on the far left side by the white cog wheels. It is not obvious where the part may pop back into. There is a number on the back of the black piece:
