Denon receiver HDCP error? Denon AVR-X2700H

So.... I'll do my best to explain this.

Like roughly 2 years ago, I had gotten a new home theater system, And When watching movies it goes black with no sound then in like 15 seconds it comes back. I think it's the Roku not communicating with the receiver with HDCP, This theoretically shouldn't be happening. All the cables are compatible with HDCP

Example:

I'm using:

TV: Sony XBR-558H
Receiver: Denon AVR-X2700H
Roku: Roku Ultra

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @beanman56

Have you checked that the Sony firmware, the Denon firmware and the Roku firmware are all the latest version?

I checked for firmware downloads on the Denon website to find out if there have been any updates since you bought it, but they don't have a firmware download page or at least none that I could find. Same with Roku.

@beanman56 remove the Denon and connect it to something else. If it functions okay on that, you know it is not your receiver. If your Roku displays correctly on your TV as well, you know it is not your Roku. That will then leave an incompatibility between those two devices. Since your firmware is already updated etc. you may be at a proverbial brick wall where you can't use it.
