1300 mAh battery into a 80gb iPod 5g?
the question says it all, I have a 1300 mAh battery, is it ok to put it into an ipod that had a 700 mAh battery in it?

Yes it is. It should not give you any trouble, as long as the dimensions are the same. Just watch when you are charging it, it may take longer.
