Can you attach a 2017 iMac Retina display to this motherboard?

I'm aware the display won't physically match but I just want it to electrically work. Connectors seem identical. I don't intend to use the cable from the different display but the native M1 iMac display cable for this.

If that's any help at all, 2017 and 2019 iMac displays can be swapped and work (I tested it despite different part numbers).

If you're wondering why I want to do this, it's because my M1 iMac display is unfortunately cracked.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Sadly the connection is not the same and the physical size wouldn’t fit correctly.

How about just getting a replacement display? Here’s a used system for cheap which claims to have a good display! Apple iMac 24" Retina 4.5k Display Pink MJVA3LL/A 2021 Screen/LCD & Housing Only

@minezebra - The other option is just use an external display, even just a TV if the system is runnable as is.

Buying a dead system like the one I pointed to is one of the cheapest way to get the display. Otherwise you’ll need to order it from Apple $$$$
