@reymarobis you are not telling us what it does when it overheats or when it overheats. Or does it just turn off because it is overheating. The most common thing is a battery or a charging board issue. The very first thing you want to do is to narrow it down. I would suggest that you start with the battery. Of course, this will assume that you have checked other things (software, firmware) etc. beforehand. Changing the battery, which has one of the thermal sensors on it, will always give you a known well starting point for any further troubleshooting. Use something like this video to work on your phone.
