Left side area of screen (1/5 of total area) not as responsive

After replacing the cracked screen, I noticed that the left side of the screen is not as responsive. For example, when the keyboard is up, typing the letter A sometimes required multiple taps for it to appear. Often, typing A key caused multiple A's on the screen to appear, since I had to press a little harder since it is less sensitive to touch. Is there a fix for this? Thank you!
