How do I replace the charging port on my Dell G15?

I have ordered a replacement DC Jack but am unsure how to install it. Do I need a soldering iron? Or can I avoid this if possible.

You do not need to solder anything.

The power adapter port (supplier example only) is a complete separate module so that it is easy to replace.

There are two variations of the model.

Here are the service manuals, G15 5510 and the G15 5510 with USB Type-C port but both have the same power adapter port. See p.36 and p.40 respectively, in the manuals to view the procedure to replace the power adapter port module.
