2-stroke engines using premixed oil and gasoline use diaphragm type carburetors to allow inverting the engine without the engine stalling. Carbs are powered by the crankcase pressure and vacuum to allow the carburetor to pump a metered among of fuel/oil mixture into the engine. You may have to remove the carb for disassembly and repair. Debris from a broken fuel filter may enter the carb and interfere with its operation. Worst case scenario is smal enigne repair shops. There are youtube videos and online guides to help with understanding how they work, disassembly, repair and tuning.
